About Us
Born from curiosity.
Little Piece of Iceland was born in the quiet hours of maternity leave, somewhere between endless nursing sessions. I was suddenly struck by a need for a creative project. I got the idea to create a fun and engaging way to educate travelers about the wonders of my home country, something I've always loved to do. Once the idea took root, it became an absolute obsession.
Driven by this vision, I took an online Adobe Illustrator course and began designing, eventually writing and curating 120 unique fun facts covering everything I love about Icelandic nature, culture, language, and history.
Every detail of this project is deeply personal to me, including the "S" pressed into our wax seal stickers, which is a heartfelt homage to my mother and grandmother. Little Piece of Iceland is more than just a souvenir, it's a handcrafted labor of love designed to connect visitors with the true heart of Iceland.
The best way to know a place isn’t a guidebook. It’s the small details that make it unique.
